Dr. Kunin attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her bachelor's degree in biology. She earned her medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Baptist Health System in Birmingham and has been caring for patients in Birmingham since 2013.​
