Dr. Kunin attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her bachelor's degree in biology. She earned her medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Baptist Health System in Birmingham and has been caring for patients in Birmingham since 2013.
Dr. Abroms earned his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis and his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. He completed his internal medicine residency at Baptist Health System in Birmingham. Dr. Abroms started practicing in 1985. He has returned part-time because practicing medicine brings him great joy.

She was a charge nurse at UAB hospital emergency department for 5 years until she completed her masters in nursing at University of Alabama at Birmingham.
